Hair replacement can be divided into two categories, surgical and non-surgical hair transplantation. Natural and permanent solution of hair loss problem is surgical hair restoration. In surgical treatment, hair is transplanted from back of the head to the bald area. Non-surgical hair treatment contains treatment through medicines such as minoxidil and finasteride. People thought hair transplantation is an expensive process; it is not much expensive some clinics are providing hair replacement at the rate of $1.6, $2 and $3 per graft.
There are many techniques that are used for hair restoration:
- Follicle unit hair grafting
- Follicular hair extension
In surgery, local anesthesia is injected in the scalp, later scalp is shampooed and antibacterial chemical is rubbed on the scalp and surgery takes place. In surgery hairs are transplanted from the donor area to the recipient areas. Two or three month’s later hair begins to grow for life time. Patients own hair used for hair replacement. Actual volume of hair will not decrease of increase.
There are some side effects of hair restoration for example:

- Bleeding
- Bald patches
